Works from the series “Biographie” and “Metropolis” (2018 – 2019) will be shown (1982 – 1990).

The photographer Barbara Wolff (*1951) grew up in the GDR and moved to the BRD in 1985.
In her photographic works of the series “Biographie” she observes life on both sides of the Iron Curtain. The series “Biography” is part of the exhibition “In eigener Sache”, shown in the Collection Regard Berlin, 2017.

The series “Metropolis” reflects urban life in the 21st century. Almost 100 years after Fritz Lang’s famous film, his vision of the future has found a contemporary but timeless interpretation in Wolff’s photographs and montages. The works are presented as silver gelatin hand prints or as large format pigment prints on Hahnemühle paper.
